To mark the 120th , in 2026 we will bring the works of this world-renowned artist closer to you than you have ever experienced before.
Long before the digital age, Vasarely conceived of visual systems that today seem almost algorithmic. Many consider his works to be precursors to computer graphics and digital visual culture.
But what happens when we rethink Vasarely’s iconic works with the help of digital technology?
You may have already experienced this at our performance titled Csontváry – In the Language of Photons.
Now we’re taking the artistic experience to a whole new level: join us for a guided tour of the Vasarely exhibition!
Are you curious about exactly what Op Art means, how Vasarely became a pioneer of the style, and how Lake Balaton or zebras relate to Vasarely’s life?
Our latest immersive projection, titled Vasarely – The Father of Op Art, is complemented by, you’ll not only discover the artist’s iconic works but also the stories, connections, and the exciting details of how the production came to be.
In Vasarely’s watercolor, we too can become active creators and, grabbing a “virtual brush,” shape the entire picture.
