What can be seen in the Studio?
Most of the time, a selection-style presentation is shown in the Studio, where visitors can view a compillation of various contents. These cover a wide range of topics (e.g. outer space, Notre-Dame, natural sciences, art), and each presentation is unique. In addition, two themed presentations are also available — one focusing 90% on Notre-Dame, and the other 90% on outer space. Many of these presentations are 3D or interactive.
What is the CODE Selection about?
Within the framework of the CODE Selection, visitors can view a variety of content in the Studio. This always includes outer space content, supplemented with additional material (e.g. 3D, interactive, gigapixel). Each selection is unique and depends on the infotrainer presenting it.

If I arrive late, can I still enter the Studio presentation?
No; due to the nature of the presentation and the venue, we are unable to admit latecomers to the Studio.
Why can’t a family of 2 adults and 1 child buy a family ticket?
The family discount is classified as a group child ticket. In this sense, it is valid for the entry of two children together.
Is there a discount for teachers?
No, there isn’t.
Can I move around the building with a wheelchair?
Yes, the ground floor exhibition space is fully accessible. The upstairs areas can only be reached via stairs, but our staff are available to assist with access if necessary.
If I’ve only bought a Studio ticket, can I enter or take a look at the exhibition?
No; a Studio ticket only grants access to the screenings in the Studio. Entry to all other areas requires a CODE ticket.
Will there be new presentations in the Studio?
Yes, content in the Studio is regularly updated.
From what age is the Hexagon recommended?
There is no age restriction for visiting the Hexagon. However, due to the nature of the content shown, including flashing lights and loud sound effects, it may be unsettling for very young children. Entry is therefore always at the discretion of the parent or guardian.
I have a CODE ticket and also a Studio ticket, but the presentation doesn’t start for another half hour. Can I enter the exhibition and return to the Studio afterwards?
Yes, our staff will be happy to assist with directions in every case. Please note that for Studio presentations, you must arrive at the designated meeting point at least 5 minutes before the screening begins.
Can I take a bag into the exhibition space?
Small bags are permitted, but we kindly ask you to leave larger bags in the cloakroom area on the ground floor. You can also hang your coat on hangers provided outside the cloakroom.
Can I bring food or drink into the exhibition?
We kindly ask you not to bring food or drinks into exhibition spaces.
Can I bring a dog into the exhibition space?
As much as we love our four-legged friends, we kindly ask you not to bring your dog into the exhibition areas, as the light and sound effects during screenings may be distressing for them. Dogs are welcome in the café, but in this case, please ensure they are not left unattended at any time.
