Night of Museums – Join us to learn about artificial intelligence 9:00 p.m.

CODE CREATOR - Digital Creative Workshop
CODE CREATOR - Digital Creative Workshop

We hear about artificial intelligence (AI) everywhere these days— especially since ChatGPT and its counterparts have made this technology accessible to millions. Yet it has actually been with us for a long time; we just often don’t even notice it: it’s there in map-based navigation, translation programs, and browser recommendations. In this session, we’ll clarify together what AI actually is—and even more exciting: we’ll try it out in action.

What will we discover together? We’ll explore what it means for a machine to “learn” and where its limits lie—because although it is capable of many things, it lacks independent thought it has no emotions. We’ll also discuss where AI helps in everyday life and what questions it raises (just think of the ethical dilemmas of self-driving cars or the importance of regulation), and how it shapes the professions of the future— where it replaces human labor, and where it makes it many times more efficient.

What can you try out with your own hands? This is where the real adventure begins! We’ve taught a machine to recognize things, we “draw” with it, and we dive into how AI creates images, text, music, or even video from a single command. Along the way, you’ll also learn the secret of the magic word: how to ask an AI the right questions (this is called prompting) so that you actually get what you want.

Why do participants love it? Because it’s tangible and immediate: with just a few words, an image or an answer comes to life right before your eyes, and you immediately see what the technology is capable of— and where it falls short. The joy of discovery is real here.

Who is it for? For curious older children, teenagers, and adults— every family who wants to understand and confidently use one of the most exciting technologies of our time.
